GTKY Belfast 2016

At the reception, tea and coffee importer Robert Bell entertained National Trustees and Guild members from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland with a presentation on the history of coffee. And Jim Strickland gave a demonstration of Irish bread making – with the freshly baked loaves enjoyed by all at supper.

Next day, the National Chairman and Trustees conducted a Getting To Know You day, with attendees finding out more about conferences, finance and promotion, having queries about TG administration clarified, and joining in lively discussion.

Lunch was prepared and served by the Northern Ireland Federation committee and members from various Guilds.

Also attending were representatives from various organisations, including Women’s Forum Northern Ireland, as well as the new speaker of the Northern Ireland Assembly, and TG’s own National Vice President Eileen Bell OBE, winner of a prestigious Iris Colvin Award.

Report by Anna Adams, Federation Vice Chairman.
