TG supports Organ Donation Week

Following our AGM this year in Bournemouth, TG is pleased to support NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT), who spoke in favour of the Organ Donation mandate debated at the AGM as they prepare to launch this year's Organ Donation Week, running from Monday 5th September until Sunday 11th September. This year's theme is "Turn an end into a beginning" and NHSBT have provided the following copy to outline their aims for this year's Organ Donation Week:

How will you start the conversation?

Um, ah, ooh or err? It doesn’t matter how you begin to talk about organ donation, it’s just really important that you do.

We know that eight out of 10 people support organ donation. But half the adults in England have NEVER talked to anyone about donating their organs when they die.

Families are more likely to agree to organ donation if they know it’s what their relative would have wanted. So, please talk it over and help your loved ones to support your decision. For some hints on tips on how to do it, click on the button below:
