More Information On This Social Group

Like many Guilds we are gradually loosing Members due to various reasons. As of March 2025we have 38 Paid up Members.

We are a friendly, sociable group who welcome new members of any age. To try and give variety, our monthly meetings are a mix of Speakers, Crafts, Games, Quizzes, Discussion , followed by refreshments and a chance to chat in a relaxed atmosphere.

Our AGM is held at our April meeting and is usually followed by a Faith supper, when we share the food that Members have brought. We try and organise some lunch dates and other events throughout the year, and where possible, support national guild events and topics. We have a Walking group, which sadly has reduced in numbers but at full strength we are currently 10 ladies. We have a summer Bowls group which will started up again in April, weather permitting. Everyone welcome.

We try and support local charities with mainly raffles held at some of our functions/meetings. We have great laughs when we have a "Snowman" (Beetle) Drive around November/Christmas time. In December instead of a meeting we enjoy a Christmas meal together and play stand up bingo with prizes for last lady standing.
